On of those days

Have you ever had one of those days when nothing goes right? Your head hurts from the start and no amount of asprin helps! It's on these days, the worst ones of the week, that i have learned to appreciate life the most. If you think about it, life would not be as good as it is if we did not experience these trials. When we go through a period of difficulties we also experience something else, at the very end we see triumph. When we have overcome our obstacle, beat it against all odds you can look back and say "Ha world...you can't get me". Without these days that challenge us, sadden us and make us downright mad, we wouldn't see that our lives are truly gifts from God. These challenges are just little reminders from him that we are his children and that without him we are nothing. Compared to what our sweet Jesus had to suffer when he was dying on the cross for all our sins, our day of occasional mishaps is a nothing. If live were all sunny and flowery we wouldn't turn to God, as we do in our time of need. We would underappreciate our friends and families because we would have no need for them. We would be left alone. That is what you get with the perfect life. Nobody to call at 3 a.m. no shoulder's to cry on when your heartbroken, no parents to bail you out of jail. We wouldn't need any of that because we would be perfect. And i have to say, perfection would suck. Without perfection, you have no exceedingly high standards to meet. If you have never reached perfection, you do not have to be compared to it. If you are not compared to it, you are more likely to succeed because you do not feel like a failure. If you succeed, then your life has more happy days, and less challenging ones. You still remember to be humble and faithful to those who love you, because that is what those trials have taught you.

The Gift From Above

When someone is in you life for a reason, it is usually to meet a need you have experienced. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritualy. They may seem like a Godsend and they are. They are there for a reason you need them to be. Then without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvinient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die, sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent has been answered and it is time to move on!
